Judith Shindul-Rothschild, Ph.D.,R.N.P.C. is an Associate Professor at Boston College William F. Connell School of Nursing. She is a psychiatric nurse clinical specialist and has practiced in a variety of mental health care settings. Throughout her career, Dr. Shindul-Rothschild has been an active, articulate force for nurses and patients in both public and political arenas. Dr. Shindul-Rothschild received her baccalaureate in nursing from Boston College in 1975, her master's in psychiatric mental-health nursing from Yale University in 1978, and a doctorate in sociology from Boston College in 1990.
Dr. Shindul-Rothschild is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice and Past-President of the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She has served as a consultant or board member on a variety of public and professional organizations including: the Massachusetts Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Massachusetts Student Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Mass-Care, Families USA, the Sherborn Democratic Town Committee and the United States Figure Skating Association.
