Anya Diane
President 2011-2012
masna.president1@gmail.com
Anya Diane, a senior at Boston College’s Connell School of Nursing, is from the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Being of Guinean, Russian and Ukrainian decent, she was raised to cherish the diversity celebrated within her family and community. Anya chose to be a nurse because of nurses’ ethical duty to never discriminate when nurses’ help their patients and to never judge a person’s worth when providing nursing care. It is this moral commitment that motivated her to become a nursing student (and nurse next year!)
Anya was motivated to become involved with MASNA because she believes it will give her the opportunity to broaden her nursing practice and aid her in finding strength within the nursing community. She hopes that this year MASNA will continue to grow as a chapter and provide leadership for nursing students across Massachusetts. Along with sponsoring successful conferences, she also hopes that as a group, MASNA will branch out, network, and inform all student nurses about upcoming events. Her vision is for MASNA to expand membership among student students, and increase the number of student nurses who actively participate and are involved with MASNA.
