Available Board Positions
Regional Chairs- must be responsible for promoting state membership and recruitment, establish and maintain contact with schools, and promote collaboration among school chapters within their assigned region.
Treasurer- must act as a custodian of organization funds, ensure that the annual financial report is prepared, sign checks for monetary disbursements as approved by the Board of Directors, and create expense reports for approval by the Board of Directors
Recording Secretary- must be responsible for preparing the minutes of all business meetings related to MaSNA, inform NSNA of current programs, activities and up-to-date names and addresses of state and local officers, review and be responsible for recommendations of policy change.
Fundraising Chair- must plan and implement various fundraising efforts for MASNA, and Perform all other duties as assigned.
Elections and Nominations chair- must recruit members to run for state office at the annual meeting, ensure elections are conducted according to the standards set forth in the bylaws, and perform all other duties as assigned.
Newsletter Chair- must serve as Editor in Chief for the biannual publication and distribution of the MASNA newsletter, The Nightingale. They must be responsible for submitting articles to NSNA for publication in the Imprint magazine when deemed necessary by the Board of Directors, Actively recruit advertisers for the newsletters and perform all other duties as assigned.
Legislation Chair- must stay current with state and national legislation concerning nursing students and nurses, inform MASNA constituents of concerning state and national nursing legislation, through the various avenues of communication, and perform all other duties as assigned.
