MASNA members take to streets for Jimmy Fund Walk
On Sept. 12, 2010, more than 8,500 men, women, and children demonstrated their commitment to conquering cancer by participating in the 21st annual Jimmy Fund Walk on the streets of Boston.
Aiming to raise more than $6.5 million by Nov. 1 for cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Institute, more than 800 teams participated, some with 100 members ranging from children in strollers to great-grandparents.
MASNA was represented by our own team that day by volunteer walkers (Rhiannon Doherty, Jessica Pires, and Sarah Gramstorff) and by virtual walkers (Mahmoud Kaddoura). As a team, we raised $1,180 for cancer research! Congratulations walkers and supporters, you are helping fight cancer – not only as volunteers but as future nurses!
MASNA wants to thank everyone who contributed to the Jimmy Fund Walk to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s mission to conquer all forms of cancer. You made our efforts possible!
